Sunset Crater NM, Grand Canyon pt. 2 and Heading into Utah!

This was the first of some really long days, because of everything we wanted to squeeze into a day. Since we made it so late to the Grand Canyon the previous day and really wanted to be sure to get the kids passports stamped wanted to make it back! Which might not have been the greatest idea.. haha! It made for a super long day! When we first set off we had already planned to visit Sunset Crater National Monument. Which happened to be on the way back to the Grand Canyon.

On our way into the Grand Canyon, which was the same way we drove out the previous day. So glad we drove back in because it’s breathtaking!

We tried to remember to bring Fox’s school spirit shirt with him everywhere we went, (it’s 90 degrees in this picture lol.. he only wore it for a few seconds) but we kept forgetting! His school is doing a contest.. and we thought we would just totally win with our crazy travel adventure this summer lol. Oh.. and I just happened to bring this shirt.. and then I found out about the contest.. or I would have brought all of their shirts.

It was pretty dark when we arrived in Utah. I really wish we could have seen the rocks that we caught a glimpse of they’re truly incredible!
